Let’s Talk Turkey-Day!
The holiday season can be a tricky time for your Peak City Puppy or Kitty. While humans are indulging in a carb-fest, pets can often get into things they shouldn’t or get overwhelmed by all the holiday hullabaloo. Here are a few tips for keeping your furry friends happy and healthy this Thanksgiving:
• Paws off the Poultry: While your family and friends are enjoying all the trimmings, be careful about what your pets get their mouths on. Items like bones, animal fat, alcohol, chocolate and bread dough are no good for four-leggeds. Ensure that your guests know not to give your Peak City Puppy any food without your permission.
• Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?: If you’ve invited guests that your pet may not be familiar with, your dog/cat may feel ambushed and can be prompted to bite or scratch. If your pet doesn’t like to be petted or picked up, inform your guests early on.
• Prescription for Trouble: When company comes, so does all their luggage and belongings. One of the most common pet-related holiday emergencies is the consumption of human pharmaceuticals. Make sure your guests store their pills out of your Peak City Puppy’s reach.
We are truly THANKFUL for all of our happy clients, and well as our families, friends, and of course, our beloved pets this holiday season. From us at Peak City Puppy, have a happy and delicious Thanksgiving!
